This morning was my first early morning in a long time. I was sleepy on the drive to Montrose Beach. Luckily, I’m here often for my work and it was already somewhere I was very familiar with. The set up for this was thanks to a dedicated friend of theirs plus Emily’s parents. I was able to find them easily, seeing this glowing set up lighting the way.
We all finished our preparation for this moment, and hid behind some trees to the left of this site. We quietly waited for the two of them to arrive. They had this tradition of sunrise coffee at Montrose, so it wasn’t too obvious until they arrived to the display below. I was nimble in my movements, attracting little attention to my presence until the moment was fully apparent. And the results are stunning to say the least.
As a proposal photographer, you want to turn on high speed continuous mode on your camera and capture every single second of the moment unfolding. Proposals are fast and every second holds a whirlwind of emotional value. I’m a big fan of spraying the before, during, and after moments of a proposal. Each kiss, smile, laugh, tear, and hug needs capturing.
There is joy to be witnessed in this gallery, enjoy this sapphic love story.
